Nice to see "Nacka" Skoglund, number 11 in Sweden, play one of his only eleven caps for the national side. While he was in Sweden for this World Cup his team for the last nine years, Inter of Milan, sold him to Sampdoria of Genoa, unbeknownst to him. During the Genoa years his alcoholism took a turn for the worst. After three years in Sampdoria he was sold down to Palermo in Sicily. There he just stayed for six matches after which he returned to his native Stockholm to play for Hammarby IF. After he started to mix his drinks with the misuse of various pills he died in July 1975, just 45 years young. Sad story. "Nacka" won two scudettos with Inter, 1953 and 1954. He scored 55 times for Inter in 241 caps played for the club. PS. We still anticipate the women games to appear on footballia.net. DS.
Thank you for your wonderful comment! As for women's football, sadly we don't have the resources to take it on at the moment.
