Série "Os Meninos da Vila 3a geração" ("The Boys from Vila Belmiro, 3rd generation series"). The hype on Neymar and Ganso (and the other "Meninos da Vila") is overwhelming and the fans and the media don't even want to think about the possibility of the two wonderkids not being in the final list for the 2010 WC (which would actually happen), but they still need to prove they can win a championship with the "Peixe" (Santos has the advantage of playing for two identical results, because they had the best campaign at the 1st stage). Santo André is well known for one of the biggest upsets in the history of Brazilian football: the Copa do Brasil title win over Flamengo back in 2004 (with the coach Sérgio Soares and the present goalkeeper Júlio César playing that Cup). The "Ramalhão" is the underdog once again and they think history can repeat itself. Santo André has the 2nd best attack and was the 2nd best team at the first stage, getting into the finals was no fluke. Their best player is Bruno César, but they're also counting on other good players like Rômulo, Cicinho, Branquinho and Rodriguinho (the 2nd place in the top goalscorer race).
